Edith B. Harris, 87, 512 T Street, died Sunday morning at the Atchison Hospital. She had been in failing health for several months.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Sawin-Dyer Chapel with Lt. Robert Simpson of the Salvation Army officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is tonight, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the chapel.
Mrs. Harris was born June 8, 1894 at Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Coffelt. She attended public schools in Iowa.
In 1928, she came to Atchison with her husband, Raymond Harris. He died in 1947.
She was a longtime member of the Salvation Army, enjoyed her church and the Home League of the Salvation Army.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were four sons, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, 32 grand-children, 79 great grand-children, and 18 great great grand-children.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army and may be left at the mortuary.
