"Shorty", born in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, a resident of League City, TX, and formerly of Texas City, TX, was retired from Community Public Service. He died in the hospital in Webster, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hazel Seelbach Acklen, of Texas City, TX... originally from near Mt. Enterprise in Rusk County. They married June 1, 1946. They had no children of their own but had many loving nieces, nephews and neighbors. They both worked for Community Public Service until their respective retirements.
