Waigand, 307 Second Ave., south following a brief illness. Mr. Waigand was born Nov. 24, 1854 in what is now [ASCHAFFENBURG, BAVARIA,] Germany and when 13 years of age left his home to come to the United States alone. On Jan. 29, 1878, in Hermann, Gasconade Co., Missouri he married Wilhelmina Honig. In march 1904, the couple with their children came to Idaho. On Dec. 21 of that year his wife died. For many years Mr. Waigand operated the old Palace Meat Market, same location of the Keim market, following which he farmed near Nampa, Idaho. He is survived by three sons, Charles F. and Ben H. both of Nampa and Edward of St. Louis, Mo. Four daughters, Mrs Richard Kiner of Boise, Mrs. Edward Goodale of Berkeley, Ca., Mrs. O.Y. Mason of Nampa and Mrs. Wilbur Norris of Huston, 23 grandchiuldren, and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Lester Jones of the Christian Church Thursday at 2 p.m., the Robinson Chapel.
