Kashmir was my little boy. I had him for 10 years. He was such a vocal cat, and meowed and meowed until you took notice of him!. He was very popular with everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. At my last house in England, we lived next door to another ginger cat called 'Chester' well, Kash didnt like Chester, and one day I found Chester on his back, paws in the air, collar off, petrified of something. It turned out that Kash had found him in our garden and decided to 'rough him up'. Chester was quite a big cat compared to Kash. I put Chesters collar back on and he fled over the garden fence, he did not come back again! 7 years ago, I moved to wales and took Kash with me. In 2005 I got a kitten and called him Ben. Kash was not impressed! Eventually, Kash accepted Ben, and they became close. Kash would hiss and spit when ever Ben followed him!. Once, Ben dissapeared when he was 5 months old, and returned 3 weeks later, Kash growled as if to say 'where the hell have you been?'!!! I moved to another house and two years later we lost Kash suddenly and unexpectedly. That day was like any other day, kash was bouncing around like tigger along the dividing fence between my neighbour and I. Then came the evening....
I had a knock at the door. It was The landlord of the public house behind us. He told us that whilst checking the work he had had done on his wall, he saw Kashmir was lying on our shed roof and not moving. We rushed and got the ladder and found Kash motionless he was bleeding from his ear. We found out from the vet that he had a brain haemmorhage. She told us that there was no chance that Kash would survive, so sadly, Kash was put to sleep.Everyone was so sad to hear of his death. They broke the mould when kash was made. there will never be another like him. Kash was cremated. I have his ashes, and when I die, They will be buried with me.
May I say a BIG thank you to those who have popped by and left something for Kash, It means SO much! :)
Specifically: Ashes in my house in an urn.
