Death: Mar. 13, 1932
Lincoln Parish
Louisiana, USA

Mrs. E. J. Sims, aged 93, died at her home in Simsboro at 7 o'clock Sunday morning. She was the widow of the late E. J. [sic J. M.] Sims, founder of the town of Simsboro.

She is survived by three sons, J. M. and R. D., of Ruston, and B. F. of Baton Rouge, one daughter, Mrs. Mattie L. Phillips.

Funeral services were conducted from the Simsboro Baptist Church at 1:30 by the Rev. W. T. Strain. Interment was in the Simsboro Cemetery. Services were directed by B. F. McClure and company.

Mrs. Sims was known all over this section of the country and loved by all. She was called "mother" Sims by every one. Her family were among the first to settle in that community and they have done a great deal toward the building and progress of Lincoln Parish.
