Isaac was a Revolutionary War Veteran. Isaac Johnson was commissioned as First Major in the 3rd Plymouth County Regiment of Massachusetts Militia on 7 February 1776, serving in Colonel Jeremiah Hart's Regiment (Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors of the Revolutionary War, 17 Volumes, Boston, 1901, Vol. VIII, p. 832.)

Isaac's burial location is not known. He might be with his parents, wife, and children in the Old Graveyard of West Bridgewater, but he does not have a stone here. Research continues.
