Iris Joan Toups Bascle, 64, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Bourg, died at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Ann Cemetery in Bourg.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, David Bascle; one son, Corey Toups and wife, Angela; two grandchildren, Ashley and Cody Toups; one step-grandchild, Alexis Dubois; one great-grandchild, Darrien Raby; one sister, Pat Bellanger and husband, Howard Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Liless Toups Sr. and Esther Callais Toups Duplantis; two brothers, Benny Toups and Liless Toups Jr.; and one sister, Geraldine Cheramie.
She will be loved and missed by all.
