Birth: 1818, USA
Death: 1899, USA

The son of Nathan and Sarah W. Meaux Crump earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1843. About 1847 he married Emilie Ann Savage. The 1850 census marks him a farmer in New Kent county, in 1860, it says he was practicing medicine there. During the Civil War, he was Acting Assistant Surgeon at Chimborazo Hospital Number Three in Richmond. He was captured and paroled there. When he applied for a passport to the West Indies in 1867, it described him as five feet, nine inches, with dark eyes and hair. During the years 1870 to 1890, he practiced medicine and was a merchant in Richmond.
