Civil War Veteran.
Residence Leesburg, IN;
Enlisted on 8/2/1862 as a Private.

On 8/2/1862 he mustered into "A" Co. 12th Indiana Infantry.
He was Mustered Out on 6/8/1865 at Washington, D.C.

Arthur was a member of the Twelfth Indiana Infantry, and was with Sherman in his march to the sea. He came home at the close of the war, and became a justice of the peace at Warsaw, and a local minister of the Methodist Episcopal church.
