ESAW BASS was born 17 Apr 1843 in Lawrence County, Mississippi, a son of Malachi Whitstin Bass and Arcadia Polk. He married Margrette McCarthy 03 Mar 1865 in Prentiss, Lawrence County, Mississippi. His great grandfather was Esau Bass who was a soldier of the American Revolution enlisting at Dobbs County, North Carolina.
