Stan served in the Army Air Force during World War 2. He married Hazel Jean Milham in Brisbane Queensland Australia on 5 August 1944, at St. Augustines Church of England, Hamilton, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and had a son who remained with his grandmother in Australia when Hazel went to the U.S in May 1946. His son never had any further contact with Stan after his mother's departure for the U.S.
He and his Australian wife had two more children, Lynette Jean and Jeffrey Lynn, born in the U.S., but divorced soon after and both eventually remarried.
He was a widower at the time of his death and living at 131 Jackson Street, Batavia Genesee New York.
After much research, contact was established with Hazel in 1992, just 18 months before she was killed in Pittsburgh whilst crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
Stan died in Veterans Admin. Hospital, Batavia from Arteriosclerotic heart disease from which he had suffered for several years.
He is fondly remembered by his son John. (In Australia)
