A memorial service for David Henry Daniels will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas, Wash.
Disposition will be by cremation. Interment will be in Green Mountain Cemetery in Rainier.
Mr. Daniels died Saturday in a Vancouver, Wash., hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident that occurred April 24 in Camas. He was 71.
Born March 30, 1922, in Spokane, Mr. Daniels was elected to a commissioner position at the Port of Camas-Washougal in 1985. He was re-elected in 1991.
Mr. Daniels started working for Clark Public Utilities as an associate electrical engineer in 1955. He later designed the electrical power access for most of the residential development in the Camas-Washougal area from 1964 to his retirement in 1980. He had lived in the Camas area for the last 29 years.
Mr. Daniels served in the U.S. Navy as an aviator during World War II.
His first wife, Norma Mae, died in 1954. A son, Richard Lewis, died in 1971.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Mary Peery of Camas; sons, Roger David of Washougal and Michael Lee of Dutch Harbor, Alaska; stepson, Washington state Rep. Kim Peery of Vancouver; stepdaughters, Marilyn Rasmussen of Camas and Christine Dodd of Blaine, Wash., and 11 grandchildren.
