Selma Anacker, 93, of Mountain Lake, formerly of Darfur, died Nov. 22, 1999, at Good Samaritan Village, Mountain Lake.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Darfur with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home Chapel, Comfrey; and continues one hour before the service on Saturday at the church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marian and James Fredin of Comfrey, three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Emma Schmid of Shittier, Calif.; and sister-in-law, Catherine Wallin of Owatonna.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William in 1977; twin grandsons, Matthew and David Fredin; brother, Wilbert Wallin; and sisters, Delia Adams, Mabel Post and Eloise Hill.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1906, in Adrian Township, Watonwan County, to Oscar and Carrie (Larson) Wallin. She attended rural school near Darfur. She married William G. Anacker on Nov. 16, 1927, in St. James. They lived in Darfur operating Darfur Implement until retiring in the early 1960s. She entered Eventide Home in May of 1997. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Darfur "Garden Gate" garden club and Darfur Senior Citizens.
