Audrey Jean Dunn passed away on Dec. 24, 2009, at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, in Prineville, at the age of 81.
Audrey Jean Sutherlin was born on Dec. 6, 1928, in Mount Harris, Colorado, to William Edward and Helen Turner Sutherlin. Her family later moved to Southern California. On December 28, 1946, she married her high school sweetheart, Manuel Edward Hollie. They had four children, Monty Edward, Ronald Elzo, Constance Ellen, and Terry Elbert, all of whom were born in Monterey Park, California.
Audrey and her family moved around considerably, until finally, after a divorce, she and her children moved to Prineville in the 1970s to be near her mother and stepfather, Elbert and Helen Sargent. Her sister, Joan Wolverton and husband Bob and children Kris and Bob also lived in Prineville. Her other sister, Delores Neaterour and husband Russell and children Tim, Beth and Mike lived nearby in Redmond.
Audrey married William Curtis Dunn in 1979 and they made their home in Prineville until her death.
Audrey worked as a waitress/hostess at the Cinnabar Restaurant in Prineville for many years, until she retired.
Audrey's hobbies included sewing and quilting, playing cribbage, in which she won the Oregon State Cribbage Championship here in Prineville. She also made many Christmas santas and other decorations, which she gave to her family as well as sold at Christmas bazaars.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Wolverton and husband Bob and family of Prineville; son, Monty Hollie and wife Kim and family of St. George, Utah; daughter, Connie Cason and husband John of Prineville; son, Terry Hollie of Prineville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Delores Bixel of Redmond, in 2001, and son Ronald Hollie in 1978.
As she requested, no services are planned at this time.
