James Louis Meng passed away at the age of 80, on December 21, 2010.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 18 years, Sheri Lanegan; his step son, Michael Leitner; his sons, David and Donald Meng; his grandsons, Andrew and Brandon Meng; granddaughters, Olivia Dubisar and Nicole Lantz. His good friend and caregiver, Graham Bourn; brother, Wesley; and sister, Elouise Nelson. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
James was born in San Jose, California, to Lillia and Ernest Meng.
James was a mans barber stylist for 60 years, 50 in Gresham, Oregon and 10 in Bend, Oregon. He served in the Navy for three years, went to barber college in Sacramento, California, and followed his fathers foot steps to become a barber. At the time of his death he and Sheri managed Storage Solutions in Bend.
For all those that were lucky enough to know Mister Jim, he will be remembered for his great smile, sense of humor, big hugs and GREAT haircuts!!
He loved music, traveling , the Oregon coast, his customers and of course poker...he played weekly at Jakes, for Habitat for Humanity...winning a lot!!!
At his request no services will be held, with a private scattering of his ashes at the Oregon coast.

He is now in the arms of his savior and creator.
