Tulia, Texas—Everett Ray "Bud" Duvall, 76, died October 11, 2013 in Uvalde, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

He was born in Plainview on December 23, 1936 to William Taylor "Ed" Duvall and Margie Bradley Duvall. Bud, as he was known, grew up on the family farm at Edmonson, Texas. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1956. Bud served with the US Army for two years, stationed in Germany. After he was discharged, he farmed at Tulia for five years. While in Tulia, he met Karen Sprawls and they married June 22, 1968, after Bud moved his farm operation to Knippa, Texas. He later farmed at Uvalde. After a farming career spanning forty years, Bud became a long haul truck driver. He retired from flatbed hauling with Trinity Industries. He bought his own truck and refrigerated trailer and continued his trucking career. Hobby time for him was spent hunting, shooting sports and gun smithing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernest Lee Duvall; and sisters, Doris Duvall and Carolyn Duvall Block.

Bud is survived by his wife, Karen Duvall of Uvalde; his mother-in-law, Virginia Sprawls of Tulia; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Volney "Butch" and Annette Sprawls of Round Rock; a brother-in-law, Robert Block of Plainview; six nephews, two nieces, two great nephews, four great nieces and three chosen great nieces surviving a loving uncle.
