CARMEN RICO MURGA, 89, died Sunday of pneumonia at her home in Corona. Born in Mexico, Mrs. Murga lived in Corona 81 years. She was a homemaker.
She volunteered for the California Rehabilitation Center prison ministry in Norco for seven years. She was also a parishioner of St. Edward Catholic Church in Corona.
Preceded in death by her son Robert. Mrs. Murga is survived by four daughters, Rose Gomez of Fontana and Mary Orduno, Virginia Alaniz and Lucille Hampton, all of Corona; a son, Henry of Corona; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Edward Catholic Church. Friends may call at the church from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday. There will be a vigil service at 7:45 p.m. Burial will be in Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery. Norco Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
