Daniel W 1878-
He lived the single life until he happened to meet Minnie (Yancey) Bohon, a widow, in LaBelle, Missouri who was working at the railroad depot. John and Minnie married Christmas Day, 1924.
John Henry Cadagan was a Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad man and retired as a conductor for that rail line.
John's work required the couple to live in several locations: John and Minnie lived in Sullivan, Missouri in 1930 and Burlington, Iowa in 1940 at the time of the death of Minnie's sister, Zella Yancey.
Upon his death, John's remains were sent back to Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Minnie died in October, 1968 in Middleton, Ohio. She was buried at LaBelle Cemetery, LaBelle, Missouri with her first husband.
John and Minnie had no children.
Lela (Bohon) Brown, step-daughter of John, said of him, "He was a marvelous step-father and I adored him".
