Beverly Ann Ellis was born November 29, 1937 in Iowa City, Iowa: the daughter of Henry H. and Ruth E. (Comstock) Wichert. She graduated from East High School with the class of 1956. Beverly was united in marriage to Jim Ellis in 1956, in Waterloo, Iowa. Beverly was a Hudson School crossing guard for 10 years; retiring in 1986. She was a charter member of the Faith Baptist Church and the pianist for the church. Beverly enjoyed singing and playing her piano. More than anything, she loved the Lord and her family and loved being with them.
Beverly Ann Ellis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Elizabeth E. Martin Center due to complications from a stroke. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Jim Ellis, sons David Ellis of Ohio, Steven Ellis of Minnesota, a daughter Sue (Mark) Smith of Nora Springs, Iowa, a brother Richard (Caryol) Wichert of Dewitt, Iowa, a sister Diane (Ken) Nelsen of Minnesota and five grandsons. Beverly will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
