| Birth: | 1804 Stockbridge Madison County New York, USA | | Death: | Mar., 1832 Cato Cayuga County New York, USA | Archibald was the youngest son of Daniel and Martha (Brown) Lucas and was born on the family farm located near Stockbridge, eight miles from Cazenovia, Madison County, New York in 1804. Archibald was most likely named in honor of his father's half-brother Archibald Pennell, Jr. He had eight brothers and sisters: William, Andrew, Margaret, Elmena, Caroline, Amanda (my great grandmother), Daniel Jr., and Eleanor. He spent his boyhood years in Madison County, and moved with his family to Cayuga County near the towns of Conquest and Cato located just south of Lake Erie in the state of New York. It is reported that Archibald was an excellent violinist. He died unmarried at the age of twenty-eight at Cato, Cayuga County, New York in March of 1832. He died of consumption (tuberculosis). Family tradition has him interred at the Conquest Village Cemetery with other members of the Lucas clan, but this has not been confirmed as his gravesite had not been located. Family links: Parents: Daniel Lucas (1762 - 1838) Martha Brown Lucas (1762 - 1862)
