|Death: ||Oct. 29, 1853|
Birth is about 1813. Born in Cheshire, England.
I have two spellings for the last name: Gladwin & Gladwyn.
She died during childbirth. On England Death Index, I did find her listed on Volume 8c and page 308.
Obtained a record saying she was buried on Nov. 1, 1853 in Wesley Methodist Chapel, Barton upon Irwell, England.
Church records for the year of her death: 866 (means she is the 866th death and burial of the Chapel since 1804). 29.10.1853. Hannah Gladwin, wife of William, Dyer, from Barton, died in Child Birth, buried 01.11.1853, in grave No. 299, costing 3/6d.
I was told by a family member that her father was a doctor.
I was able to obtain a Marriage certificate for William & Hannah (married on April/21/1839 in St. Mary's Parish Church of Astbury in Co of Chester in District of Congleton.) William is listed as widowed and Hannah is listed as a spinster. This also shows her father was Cyrus but he was listed as a Wheel wright (not a Dr.) living in Havannah, Cheshire, England.
I have for her parents:Cyrus Birchenough born 1780 or 1786 in Sandback,Cheshire, England and dying before 1861. And his wife is also named Hannah who is born either 1781 or 1786 in Bumberry , Cheshire, England. who also dies before 1861.
Cyrus 55 born 1786 abt., in Cheshire, England.
Living in Eaton, Macclesfield, Cheshire, England as Wheelright.
Cyrus's wife: Hannah is 55 born abt 1786, born in Cheshire, England
1851 living in Havannah, Cheshire, England in Congleton, Church Hulme.
Cyrus 71 born Sandbach, Cheshire, England abt 1780, is an Ag labor
Hannah 70, born in Bumberry, Cheshire England.
They are living with son-in-law:
Joseph Wooliscroft, age 41 a power loom weaver cotton born in White Hill Staffordshire, England.
wife: Mary (This Hannah's sister), 42, born abt 1809 in Nantwich, Cheshire, England. (Mary Ann was also-like her sister Hannah- married in St. Mary, Astbury in 1835.)
The date of the marriage for Hannah & William was after Henry's birth. So, is Hannah Henry's real mother? And is there a 8th child? Or did she never recoup from Albert's birth?
Children I have listed for William & Hannah are:
Henry, born 1838
William born abt 1843
Harriet born abt 1845
Mary Ann born abt 1845
Samuel born abt 1848
Emma born abt 1850 and
Albert Edwin born Oct. 1851.
ok, I did find a Gladwin Family Tree that says there was an 8th child named Hannah. With Geoff's help, he found out that Baby Hannah was born 1853 and was living with her married sister Mary Ann in the 1881 census at 10 Grecian St. Broughton, Salford. She died in the 4th Quarter of 1892.
William Gladwin: was born abt 1801 in Norton, Folgate, London. Died March/19/1860 at the Railroad Station in Macclesfield, England. I do not know where he is buried.
He was a Silk Dyer in Manchester, England. His dyehouses existed for many years, being taken down to build the Great Canal.
Geoff is discovering many things for me. Thank you Geoff.
He found out William's exact birth: Dec. 13th, 1798 and confirms his parents as William and Elizabeth Gladwin and is attached to the register from St. Leonard's Church, Shoreditch, London.
