BEN ATCHLEY
Funeral services for Ben Atchley aged 89, whose death occurred at his residence at Gurley, Ala., after a short illness with complications, were conducted Saturday at the residence, the Rev. Knett officiating with interment in Killinsworth Cove with Womack in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Atchley, two sons J.B. and Joe and five daughters, Mrs. Nannie Keel, Ark., Mrs. Vina Dotson, Ark., Mrs. Mary Preston, Arizona, Mrs. Lillie Jones of Tenn., and Mrs. Fannie Justice of Alabama.
Note: Son of James Franklin Atchley and Mary Elizabeth Genoa. James died in 1863 in a Union Prison camp in Indiana.
