Major League Baseball Player. Born Anthony Thomas Bongiovanni, he played at the outfield position for two seasons (1938 to 1939) with the Cincinnati Reds. He was a member of the 1939 National League Pennant-winning Reds' team and had one plate appearance during the World Series. In 68 career regular season games, he had 43 hits with a .259 lifetime batting average. At the time of his death at the age of 97, he was one of the oldest living former Major League players. (bio by: C.S.)
