Sarah Elizabeth Walker was the daughter of Henry Hudson Walker 1824-1863? and Hannah Shaw 1836-1860?. Granddaughter of Sheriff Joseph Shaw of Johnson County, Texas. She married Amazi Davis Anderson 6 Jun 1864 in Johnson County, Texas. They moved many times between Northern Texas and Southern Oklahoma, They had 11 children, Fanny Lula Anderson Huff 1865-1953, Henry Hogan Anderson, 1867-1912, Osceola Rowllie Anderson 1870- aft 1930, Anna May Anderson Goodin 1873-1936, Serogen Anderson 1877 died in infancy, Walter Janey "Tan" Anderson 1879-1968,George Davis Anderson 1881-1968, Ralph Berta Anderson 1889-? drowned in the Red River, Ora Belle Anderson Hughes StClair 1886-1971, Minnie Lee Anderson Wimpy Tomlin 1891-1948, Benjamin Gillian Anderson 1893-1923.

In 1924 Sarah was hurt in an accident and received severe burns and was in the hospital for a few weeks. After the accident her mental state deteriorated into what today would be called Alzheimers. Loved by her family, remembered as a loving, quiet, retiring woman, Sarah died suddenly in the hospital on 30 Mar 1926. She is buried here with her youngest son Benjamin.
