Armour Lee Anderson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 7, 2010 in Abilene. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South, with Ray Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, Garden of Prayer. A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Armour Lee was born on October 16, 1928 in Victoria County, Texas to James Alfred and Maggie Collier. She was raised in Victoria and graduated from Patty Welder High School. She inherited the nickname "Pinkie" from her reddish-blond hair and went by that name most of her life and then later went by Lee.

While working for the IRS in Austin, she met and married David Lee Webb on December 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1971. She is survived by their three children; two daughters, Cheryl and husband Phil Miller of Abilene, Janet and husband Billy Bisbee of Baird and one son, David Webb, Jr. of Dayton, Ohio.

On September 6, 1974, Pinkie married Diamond H. Anderson in Abilene. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1998. She loved being part of the Anderson family and is survived by six stepchildren, Jerry and wife Susan Anderson of Clyde, Diana Anderson or Arlington, Judy Fisher of Yuma, AZ, Linda Stewart of Fort Worth, Polly Chittum of Merkel and Betty and husband, Ron Hawthorne of Ozona.

Before her retirement, Lee had worked for AISD for 20 years as secretary at Reagan and Jane Long Elementary Schools. She was an Auxiliary Member of VFW Post 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clarence Collier and a sister, Florence Horton.

She is also survived by her greatest joys in life, her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
