Gerald was born to Clarence & Hazel (Marshall) Davison. He married Olive Gertrude Moore (1905 - 7-29-1969).
Gerald M. Davison, 66, of Sycamore Bend, a buldinng contractor and designer and former Union City mayor, died Sunday in Pennock Hospital, Hastings, where he was taken after being sticken while visiting relatives in Nash-ville.
He was born in Aurelius and was a Union City area resident most of his life. He had been a building contractor and home designer here for more than 20 years and owned and operated Gerald Associates.
Earlier he had owned Duo Homes, a mobile home manufactureing plant, which he sold.
He was widely known for incorporating design and construction techniques used for mobile homes in building houses, and in 1956 built Battle Creek's first home to receive the Gold Medallion Award at 21 Hilltop Drive. The completely electric home was constructed under a huge inflated plastic bubble, enabling workers to complete their work in a fraction of the normal time, unhampered by the weather.
Davison was graduated from Anthony Wayne Institute School of Accounting, in 1928, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and served as mayor of Union Ciy from 1951 - 1954. He was a member of the Battle Creek and Colwater Toastmasters Club. He was a member of the Michigan and National Home Builders Association and the Michian and National Motor Coach Associatioln.
His first wife, the former Gertrude Moore, died in 1969.
He was married on 6-10-1972 to the former Mary Swan, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Garth Michael, at home, and a twin sister Mrs. George (Irene) Lyon of Cicero, Ill.
Services were held Wednesday in the First Congragational Church. He is buried at Union City, MI

Gerald's twin sister, (Hazel) Irene was married to George Lyon. They spent many years in Kenya, Africa, as missionaries. All 4 of their children were born there. (Elliot, Grace, Herbert, and Faith)|
