BRADBURY, Brice A.
Brice A. Bradbury, 87, of East Hartford, loving husband of over 57 years of the late Betty (Schoff) Bradbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, (February 8, 2013) with his family by his side at Hartford Hospital. Born in Dayton, ME on Jan. 12, 1926, a son of the late Brice A. and Mary (Littlefield) Bradbury, he had been a resident of East Hartford since 1952. Brice was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for over 31 years. Brice was a former golfer and bowler yet his greatest accomplishment was being a devoted family man, especially to his grandchildren. Brice is survived by his three caring daughters, Tracey Scriven-Loock and her husband, Kenneth Loock, of East Hartford, Robin Everett and her husband, Michael, of East Hartford, Kristen J. Bradbury of East Hartford; and three grandchildren, Matthew Scriven, Michael Scriven, and Annalise Loock. He also leaves a brother, Clifton Bradbury of Portland, ME; a sister, Cynthia St. Amand of Hollis Center, ME; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Jones of North Stonington, Joan Waterhouse and her husband, Jamie, of Dayton, ME, Norma Wentworth of Saco, ME; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday Feb. 14 at 12 noon at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Brice's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Feb. 13 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brice's name may be made to the East Hartford Fire Department-EMS Fund, 31 School St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
