Mr. Jones was engaged in farming and took an active interest in the affairs of this community until he became ill. He was a member of the Methodist Church and took a interest in the Masonic order, being a member of the
Frankfort Lodge No. 67 AF&AM and also held membership in the higher degrees of that organization.
Besides his wife, Jennie; he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Amy Tillotson, Shields, Kansas and Mrs. Esther Reuck, Riley, Kansas four sisters, Mrs. R.S. Jones, Wymore, Nebraska, Mrs. J.S. Johnson, Marysville, Kansas, Miss Elma S. Jones, Alexandria, Virginia; and two brothers, O. William Jones, Frankfort. Kansas, and J.O. Jones, Lawrence Kansas.
Funeral services were held by Reverend C.F. Jenkins at the Methodist Church on Sunday.
