Dale Russell Davidson, 82, East Bradenton, formerly of Washington, D.C., died May 20, 2008.
A memorial gathering will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the family's residence; call 751-3253 for the address and directions. A graveside service with full military honors will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Bradenton Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Marl; daughters Paige Buschmann of Lexington, Ky., and Kimee of New York City; sons, Dale R. Jr. of Washington, D.C., and Scott Glushien of Worcester, Mass.; a sister, Ruby Wilde of Pueblo, Colo.; a brother, Farril of Canyon City, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
Dale was a fine man. We were blessed to know him. I am sorry for the sadness in your hearts. We can all say, "it was good that his suffering ended," yet there will still be a void in the lives of those who loved him. May this be a time for gentleness, peace and healing.
