At the time of her death she was a member of the First Methodist church in Winfield. She was married June 12th, 1864 to A.J. Cales in Iroquois county, Illinois. To this union thirteen children were born. Two died in infancy, one at the age of 29 years. Ten married children and families and one sister, Mrs. Nannie Priest survive her. All of these were present at the funeral services. Her Bible was her daily companion and bread of Life.
