SAN ANGELO - Michael Jason Neeley's life was taken from him Sunday, April 5, 2009. Visitation will be all day Wednesday, April 8 at Shaffer Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 9, in Belvedere Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home. Michael was born to Michael Lynn and Vonda Neeley on Nov. 20, 1979, in San Angelo, Texas. Michael, a local diesel mechanic, was quite a master craftsman at his trade. He loved his family and friends and they shared that same love for him. Michael will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. We will always remember his shining eyes, handsome smile, and big heart. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Betty Neeley; and his grandfather, Edwin Goetz. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Vonda Neeley of San Angelo; his brother, Clay Garrett Neeley of San Angelo; his grandmother, Marilyn Goetz of Carlsbad; and his grandparents, Gerald and Alice Brooks. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the West Texas Boys Ranch.
