VETERAN OF WORLD WAR II
Jack Burnham, age 89, was manager for E and P Tire Co., for 15 years prior to retirement. He had been a Hanford resident for 35 years. Jack was born in Mason City, Iowa, and graduated from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He was a 32nd degree member of the Masonic Lodge, a member of the Order of the Shrine, and had served on the Kings County Grand Jury in 1973-74. He was a World War II veteran.
Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hanford where he sang in the choir for many years, had served as choir director for a time and also had been the organist. He and his wife were active in the MethAdults. Jack joined the Methodist church in 1915 in Mason City, Iowa, and became a member of the Hanford First United Methodist Church by Certificate of Transfer from First United Methodist Church, Fresno, January 25, 1959.
His lone survivor was his wife, Mollie.
Jack was the son of Leroy D. and Olive (Brooks) Burnham.
