Dixie A. Wiedemann, of El Reno OK, died May 10, 2011, in Grace Living Center. She was born on August 10, 1933, in Yukon OK. She was a graduate of Yukon High School. Mrs. Wiedemann came to El Reno in the mid 50's and had resided here since. She was a retired Insurance Agent. Dixie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., and the American Legion. She was the secretary for the Canadian County Farmers Union.

Mrs. Wiedemann was preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Bertha (Steele) Deardorff; husband Gilbert Wiedemann; and son William C. "Butch" Wiedemann.

Survivors include sons Darrell D. Wiedemann & wife Karen of El Reno and Scott C. Wiedemann & wife Tammie of Yukon; grandchildren Travis Wiedemann, Kyla Branham & husband Nathan, Kenzie Wiedemann, Matt Wiedemann, Brent Wiedemann; great-grandchildren Faith Hall & Payton Branham; numerous other relatives; and many dear friends.
