William served as a Technical Sergeant, Medical Detachment, 176th Quartermaster Battalion, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided on South Center Street, Bradford, McKean County, Pennsylvania prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on October 19, 1942 in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in construction and also as Married.

William died in the "Line Of Duty" from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Sudbury, England.
