Keith Porter Anderson, son of Mr. & Mrs Howard Anderson, was born at Clifton Kansas on Oct.1,1916, Early in 1920 he moved with his parents to Newton where he received his education in the city schools, he graduated from high school with the class of 1934, On January 7, 1941 he enlisted in the Army Air Force from Dallas, Texas and recieved training at several Army Air Bases until early in 1942 when he was transferred into the Army Engineers. He was commissioned at Fort Belvoir, Va. and on June 10, 1942, and assigned to the 827th aviation Engineers Battalion, Savannah, Georga.

He sailed for overseas service on December 7,1942 and spent the following months in the European Area, In England, in the spring of 1944 he was promoted to the rank of Captain.

He was married to Mattie Jo Reed of Dallas Texas in Washington,D.C. on June 10 1942

Captain Anderson died in London England on July 25, 1945 from injuries recived while on duty.
