Nellie was my Great Aunt
Helen, came from a huge family and like her grandmother Ellen, sometimes went by that name, also Helen and even sometimes Nellie. Why I'm not sure there would be a Mary Ellen to come along in a few years. The one great aunt in my family I never met.
The oldest daughter of Charles and Margery Gorman.
Helen married Leonard A. McCarthy on September 11, 1907 and she was the mother of Harold, Raymond, Leonard McCarthy and Marjorie McCarthy Vennell.
Originally buried with her mother Marjorie, in Section 1 lot 262, her sister Jennie had the bodies moved in 1953. Which makes me wonder about Nellie's date of death. My next project to work on. Nellie now rests in the grave next to 2 of her sons, her mom and dad, along with several young siblings in Section D, Lot 434 grave 10

I finally, in Sept of 2019, visited my great aunt, 2 of her young children, and my great grandparents grave. There is no stone marking the grave, although one day I will get one. But the photos I took of where the marker should be in Section D, Lot 434 the cemetery records were lost years ago this information I found came from the Diocese of Catholic Cemetery's who had most of the family records. Thank you Angela. The photos I took show the actual graves in the section. Great grandpa Charles purchased all the plots for his children that didn't live long. He was buried there in 1911 when he passed.
A special thank you to Barbara Carroll for helping me locate Ellen's grave. I can't wait to get back up to Rhode Island to see if there is a stone.
I would also like to thank Sarah Feeley for taking the photo of the section Ellen is buried in. I hoped there was a stone there for her, but no luck. The photo of the area is greatly appreciated though, she's such an angel for taking the time. Thank you Sarah!!
