Teresa Rohan Blievernicht, last in line of her immediate family, began her journey in life on July 22nd, 1910, and passed away peacefully with her family in attendance on Sunday January 23rd at the grand age of 100. Her family is grateful for the compassionate care she received in her final years at Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley, NC.
She married her beloved husband, the late Walt Blievernicht, in 1937 in St. Louis, MO. She was fondly known for her watchfulness over her grandchildren and her love of family. Everyone admired her natural platinum blonde hair.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Diana Xaudaro and Barbara A. Moskowitz, her son, Stephen W. Blievernicht, M.D., and their spouses, Suzanne Blievernicht and Mark Moskowitz, M.D. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stefan Xaudaro, Jr., Teresa Gisler, Vincent Xaudaro, Charles Xaudaro, Laura Blievernicht, Melanie Blievernicht, Amanda Moskowitz, Daniel Moskowitz, Harrison Moskowitz and Abigail Moskowitz, and her great grandchildren, Ryan Wewerka, Alexandra Xaudaro, Vincent Xaudaro, Jr. and Enzo Xaudaro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Eugene and Mary Margaret Rohan, as well as her three sisters and brother.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Belmont, NC. Preceding the service, visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Father Frank Cancro will officiate. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
