Returned to duty on or about September 15, 1862. Wounded at Fort Wagner, Charleston, South Carolina, July 18, 1863. Died at or near Charleston on or about July 27, 1863, of wounds.
He is listed in the Charleston Daily Courier newspaper among the wounded from Battery Wagner on July 18, 1863. His wound is listed as "right lung, dangerous."
He is recorded as being buried in grave #241, Magnolia Cemetery.
