Pvt. Alfred T. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Howard of Shattuck, killed in action in France in October, was with the 59th Division. Memorial services were held for him Sunday in the Christian church at Shattuck. He had been in the army since August 24, 1943.
Alfred's mother's name was Irene and he had a sister named Wanda, who was a year older than he.
