Douglas Eugene Burley was born Jan. 16, 1952 in Oregon City, OR to Marlin and Violet (Conrad) Burley. He died Feb. 24, 2007 in Portland, OR after a long illness.
He attended schools at Rural Dell, Mulino and Molalla High, graduating in 1970. In his teen years he accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized May 1965. Douglas served his nation for 6 years in the Army National Guard. He worked in food processing for over 25 years, retiring in 2001 due to poor health.
He was an avid collector of coins, firearms and antique canning jars. Doug also enjoyed motorcycling until recent years. One of his favorite things to do was to have coffee at Starbucks in Canby, OR.
He is survived by his mother, Violet, brothers Michael and Darin, and sisters Debra Kyle and Pamela Plunkett.
Funeral services were held at Zion Mennonite Church, February 28, 2007, interment in the churchyard afterward.
