Abnet, 84, a resident of Swiss Village in Berne, died at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Adams Memorial Hospital.She was born on March 25, 1923, in Adams County, to Marcus and Rebecca (Mason) Luginbill. She was married on January 27, 1946 to Don Abnet. Visitation is from 3:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home and two hours prior to the 10:30 a.m. service on Tuesday, July 24 at Swiss Village. Officiating is Pastor Kris McPherson. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Geneva

Ruth E. Abnet, 84, of Berne, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2007 in the Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur.

Ruth was born on March 25, 1923 in Adams County to Marcus and Rebecca (Mason) Luginbill who are both deceased. She was united in marriage to Don Abnet on January 27, 1946 and they had celebrated their 61st anniversary this year.

Ruth was a member of the First Missionary Church, Berne, Indiana.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 61 years, Don; 4 sons: Delmo C. (Rebecca Sue) Abnet of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Paul J. (Diana) Abnet of Berne, Indiana; Daniel J. (Deborah) Abnet of Berne, Indiana; John C. (LaNae) Abnet of Berne, Indiana; a brother: Floyd W. Luginbill of Lansing, Michigan; 2 sisters: Florine Graham of Keystone, Indiana and Esther (Jesse) Patch of Decatur, Indiana; 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in the Swiss Village Chapel, Berne, Indiana. Burial will follow the services in the Riverside Cemetery, Geneva, Indiana. Friends and family will be received on Monday, July 23, 2007 from 3-8 p.m. in the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home and 2 hours prior to services on Tuesday in the Swiss Village Chapel.

Preferred memorials for Ruth are to the First Missionary Church - Missions.
