Vernon D. Freiling, 79, of Millville died Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, 2004, in South Jersey Healthcare, Newcomb Hosptial after an extended illness.
Born in Millville, he had lived here most of his life. He served with the Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was a pipe fitter with local 322 in Winslow Township.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence; two sons, James of Gorman, Tenn., and Glenn of Millville; two daughters, Sue Barringer of Millville and Terry Ross of Philadelphia; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Vernon was predeceased by a son, Albert.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Barbetti Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
