Services for Mr. Minos J. Kennedy, Jr., 85 of Stonewall, LA, was be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Stan Magee. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation was from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the funeral home.

Mr. Kennedy was born on July 3, 1921 in Longview, TX., to the parents of Minos Jasper Kennedy Sr. and Callie Marie Loe. He passed away in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 14, 2006. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport in 1939. He married his first wife, Lillian Ida Stone in 1940. They had two children, Edward Gillette Kennedy and Mary Lynn Kennedy. He married his second wife Ruby Géraldine Brown. They had 2 children (names not listed to protect their identity since they are living). He had been a resident of Stonewall for the past 34 years. Mr. Kennedy was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He retired from Wonder Bread Co. after many years of service. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Moose Lodge and received many honors from the club.
