C. G. Howse Dies at 52; Rites Today
Charles G. Howse, 52, of 6510 Henderson St. died at 11:35 p.m. Saturday in Veterans Administration Hospital following a brief illness.
He was a mechanic with McDaniel Air Conditioning Co.
A native of lifelong resident of Shreveport, he was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Cedar Grove Masonic Lodge No. 403, Cedar Grove American Legion and a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Osborn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Trussell, pastor the Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow; one son, William D. Howse of Houston, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte H. Turnley of Baton Rouge; two brothers, James Lee Howse of Shreveport and Norman Howse Jr. of Muskogee, Okla.; and one sister, Mrs. Mary G. Stevens of Shreveport.
Pallbearers will be R. H. Greenlee, Herbert Davis, Bryan Freeman, Richard A. White, Howard Mullican and H. C. Treadway.
