STONEWALL, LA – Funeral services for Russell E. "Pete" Robertson, 53, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 10, 1997, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel with Rev. Leland Crawford, pastor of Morningside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be t Forest Park West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Robertson, born July 14, 1944 in Whitehall, Ark., died Friday, November 7, 1997 in Shreveport. He had been a resident of Stonewall, La. for the past 23 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #6 and a member of the 40&8 Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C. W. and Pearl Elkins Robertson and one sister, Elizabeth Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Pauline Robertson of Stonewall; sons, Russell Vance Robertson and wife, Connie of Stonewall, Randall W. Robertson and wife, Stacie of Shreveport; a precious grandson, Zachary Robertson; one brother, Benny Robertson and wife, Peggy of Shreveport; brother-in-law, Raymond Smith of Fort Smith, Ark.; numeropus other family and friends.
Pallbearers: Leland Vines, Tommy Weeks, Phillip May, Robert Robertson, Jimmy Robertson, and Charlie Robertson.
Honorary pallbearers: J. B. Rawls, Michael Collier, Jeff Carter and Hugh Hubbard.
The family suggests memorial may be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children, 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, LA 71103.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the ICU Staff of Highland Hospital for their care and compassion.
