Birth: Sep. 17, 1924

Death: Nov. 5, 2006

My father went by the name Edward. He was in WWII and was part of the ground soldiers at the Battle of the Bulge. After he was released from the Army he met and married Betty Mae Brown and they had 3 children together.

He was injured in the war and lost the sight in his right eye, was pled with severe headaches from the slow going inoperable tumors on his brain from the head injury but he managed to hold down a full time job with the City of Augusta as the mechanic that kept their trucks operating properly. He retired after 25 years of service on that job. He received several medals along with a purple heart.

In 1968 he met Laddie Cowart and married her. He adopted her 1st born daughter and they had one together.

He was good with his hands and there just wasn't anything he couldn't build or fix from automobiles to building houses. I wish I had inherited that quality from him.
He loved farming, hunting and fishing.
