Crime Victim. LINCOLN, R.I. — David D. Main, 49, of Lincoln, R.I., was killed while making a deposit at the Citizens Bank in Woonsocket, R.I., on Sept. 20, 2010. He was the husband of Kathleen (Carr) Main.Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of David and Bonnie (Bergstrom) Main of East Dennis, MA. He resided in Lincoln for most of his life.He was a 1980 Graduate of Lincoln High School, member of the Lincoln High School Lions football team.Mr. Main was employed as a store manager for Shell Inc. for the past two years, and previously a manager for various area restaurants, such as The Ground Round, Grist Mill, and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. For a time, he and his wife also owned Main Deli of Smithfield.He loved to golf and fish. He especially loved to go fishing on the Emma Jack with his cousin.Besides his beloved wife, he leaves a cherished son, Michael Main of Lincoln; step-daughter, Michelle Califano of Warwick; paternal grandmother Eleanor Main of Pawtucket and maternal grandmother Irene Bergstrom of Yarmouth; two sisters, Deborah Main and Heather Hitchen of Lincoln; two grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, who love and miss him dearly.A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Friday, 4 to 8 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Michael D. Main Scholarship, C/O Navigant Credit Union, Lincoln Branch, 185 Front Street, Lincoln, RI 02865.
