|Birth: ||unknown, USA|
My maternal Great Great Grandfather
Chief John Lucien Brown was (half) Cherokee, married to full-blood Dolly Dean Brown.
The following excerpts are about my family:
"John Lucien Brown was literate and wise, a combination that elevated him to the rank of Chief of the Cherokees. His band of Cherokees lived on their ancestral lands in Marshall County, Alabama. The principal village was called Browns Village.
Chief John L Brown had many children and loved his people dearly.
It is not known how many children Chief John had; it is known that the names of some of those children were Richard, David, Katherine, John, and William."
