Longtime Lansdowne resident Janice Sides Goudy, 65, of Lansdowne, died Feb. 27 at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Ft. Benning, Ga., to a military family, she lived on several army bases before settling in the Tacoma Washington area, where she graduated from high school. She had been a resident of Lansdowne for 33 years. Mrs. Goudy was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Lansdowne. She was a member of the church's Circle Group and volunteered with the women's group. She enjoyed playing the piano, knitting and was an avid reader.
Her sister, Joyce Buckwalter, died in 1997.
Survivors: Husband of 35 years, Norman E. Goudy; sons, Edward Goudy of El Paso, Texas, Daniel Goudy of Lansdowne; sisters, Jeanette Harmon, Judy Sides, Joan Lassley, and June Patterson of Washington State; brothers, Jeff and John Sides, both of Washington State.
Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Lansdowne, 140 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Lansdowne.
Visitation: 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Burial: Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill.
Contributions: To the above-mentioned church.
Arrangements: Toppitzer Funeral Home, Drexel Hill.
