John Busby was the son of John and Elizabeth Busby, (father believed to have been born about 1707 in England, and immigrated to the Colonies in 1729 as an indentured servant to Richard White, barber, serving as a clerk). Birth year from American Biographical Index.

April 15, 1783, John Busby Junior is listed as the owner of two sets of land-the 137 acres known as Hooker's Prospect and Good Luck and the 143 acres represented by Busby's Spott, Busby's Chance. He paid the 1783 MD supply tax.

He married Edith Price in abt 1771. They were the parents of
